The history of tarot cards is shrouded in the mists of the past. There are many varied decks of cards.
Initially in a reading, you will be given the task of picking a deck and asking a question of the cards, OUT LOUD to me. Many clients find this confusing. I use several different types of cards for divination, depending on YOUR questions and needs. I will explain the different decks and their uses to you. The cards are like mirrors for me. I use the cards to see, hear and feel information, which I pass along to you. It is a great help to me if I do not have to guess about the subject of a reading. The prevailing myth of psychic ability is that the test of my being a "true" psychic is in my being able to guess what you are asking of the card reading, of being able to read your mind. Telling me what the reading is about can feel like cheating! Trust me, it isn't cheating, and will expedite your session.
The tarot is an ancient system of organized symbols. Many people have used these cards in various ways. I use the tarot as a tool to open myself to the possibilities of Life's actions and as a way of keeping myself focused and precise. Too often, card readers ramble, losing themselves and their clients in a tangle of information. I will explain the name of each card, what position it holds in the layout of the reading, and most importantly, how each card relates to the question you have asked, and to the other cards in the reading.
In a written reading, one in which you send me questions, I use the cards as a way of creating satisfying answers that will be useful to you. In "real time" online reading, the cards help me to frame my focus and to keep divergent information at bay.
